Alpaca Sales & Alpaca Boarding at Capture Your Heart Alpacas, Bloomfield, Kentucky.

Welcome to Capture Your Heart Alpacas

Our Alpaca Farm is located in Bloomfield, Kentucky. Our alpaca farm focus is on Huacaya Alpacas. Our goal is to breed and produce superior animals. I love alpacas; working with alpacas is a very rewarding endeavor. Alpacas are known for their gentle and curious nature. Alpaca fiber comes in a variety of colors. The alpaca fiber/alpaca wool is also hypo allergenic. This fiber can be worn right next to your skin without irritation. The fiber is spun into beautiful alpaca yarn capable of producing a variety of products. With this year's fiber we made horse saddle pads - you could be the only rider on your block with an alpaca horse pad! Your horse will love you for it. If you are not familiar with alpaca products then go to our purchase items and look as just a fraction of the items available.  Most are very reasonably priced so you can have a first hand look without much expense.

Alpaca farming is a relatively simple business. Alpacas require very little care and maintenance. Alpacas are family friendly. Children can be involved on many levels of the business from alpaca sales to spinning alpaca yarn. There are a limited number of alpacas in America. Currently, the alpaca business focus is primarily the breeding.  This will produce a higher quality animal and expand the alpaca fiber product business.

Our farm offers a variety of services from selling alpacas to boarding alpaca. Our goals are to produce quality alpacas, utilize our fiber in the production of great alpaca goods, and introduce prospective owners to a wonderful and growing business. Quality alpacas are animals with excellent confirmation and superior alpaca fiber. These qualities are achieved through strategic planning which includes careful alpaca purchasing, feeding nutritious grain, and adding choice minerals and alpaca fiber additives. Raising alpacas requires a fresh water supply and lots of shade in the hot weather season. You can raise alpacas on as little as one acre. With helpful guidance through friendly alpaca farmers and associations, AOBA and KOBA, any questions or concerns about your herd can be answered quickly. Most alpaca farms are very supportive with other group members and encourage all alpaca farmers to share their experiences and their needs. The support from other alpaca farms is just one of the things that continue to remind me of why I love alpacas. Everyone is so helpful.
